When I was a little girl I believed in fairies. I spent many delightful hours in enchanted gardens daydreaming, searching for them and falling under the magic of their spells. The magic and beauty of nature was so enchanting to me, very hypnotic, never boring and I developed a deep respect for it . I also spent a lot of time with Barbie creating for her a wardrobe of Haute Couture by hand, as well as her accessories & home ware!

My Mum taught me how to use a machine at a young age and a grand and faithful love affair with fabric began. I have always chosen natural fibres over manmade, sewn and crafted all my life and  have to create to be me, to achieve life balance and to feed my soul.

Now that I have grown up, I have been blessed with 2 gorgeous fairies of my own that I love to hand make clothing for. There's still fairies and magic in our garden & we have an enduring respect for nature. Picking, smelling flowers, dancing around the garden, chasing butterflies & collecting ladybugs is a favourite way to spend the day.

I draw my inspiration from the grace of nature & its myriad of vibrant colours, scents, the natural powers it possesses.  It also comes from childhood memories; my passion for vintage resonates in all I do, and above all it comes from what makes my own little fairy blossoms laugh & smile.

I'm passionate about The HeartStrings Boutique & so too are my children who often have an input and their comments are always duly noted! My inspirations are reflected in all designs, fabric choices & photography, where I hope to capture the effervescence, whimsical  purity of blithe childhood.

Our products are all tried & tested, & clothing especially is put to a 'home grown' test; you will find the designs as well as durability tick all the boxes; "Can I ride a bike in it Mum?" "Can I wear it to the tea party Mum?", "Can I climb in it Mum?"....yes!
